Positioning and using your grit bin kit
Choose a firm, level position before adding salt. Allow room to open the lid and collect salt, keeping the bin clear of fire exits, door swings and vehicle movements. A convenient position near the route being treated can reduce the distance staff need to carry supplies.
Store the bagged salt under cover until needed and close the bin lid between uses. Use the hand scoop to distribute salt as part of your site’s winter treatment arrangements. Check stock during cold spells so replacement bags can be arranged before supplies run low.
Salt refills and winter support
When your kit needs replenishing, order 25kg bags of white rock salt. Bawcro can also discuss grit bin refills and winter maintenance planning for commercial premises.
