30 litre recycled mini grit bin for entrances and short paths

The 30 litre recycled mini grit bin is a compact salt storage bin for premises where space is limited and a larger commercial bin would be unnecessary. It keeps a small supply close to an entrance, a set of steps or a short pedestrian route, helping staff collect salt when frost and ice are expected.

The recycled black body has a discreet appearance and a hinged lid that covers the contents between uses. This listing is for the bin only. Salt, a scoop and other accessories are not included, so you can choose the supplies that suit your own treatment arrangements.

Where to position your grit bin

Place the bin on a firm, stable surface near the area that needs attention. Allow enough space for the lid to open and for a person to collect salt safely. Keep it clear of doorways, fire exits, steps and the walking route itself.

Plan how your team will reach the bin in slippery conditions. A convenient position is useful only if access remains clear. Decide who will check the contents and arrange more salt before the bin runs empty during a cold spell.

Choosing the right capacity

This mini bin suits a modest treatment area and a team that can check and refill it regularly. A larger 60 litre mini bin or 115 litre stackable bin may be more suitable if you have longer paths, several entrances or limited opportunities to replenish your stock. Compare the footprint and capacity with the space you have available.

Salt supply, filling and refills

Order 25kg bags of white rock salt and a rock salt hand scoop separately to use with your bin.

The bin is supplied empty. Contact Bawcro if you need salt or a separate scoop, or would like to discuss grit bin refills. We also provide information about bin maintenance and winter maintenance planning for workplaces.
